About The Role:

We're seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you'll architect, build, and maintain our core features that serves families, children, and partners across the digital ecosystem. You'll work at the intersection of technology, safety, and user experience to create solutions that protect young users while empowering them to engage with digital content in healthy ways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Develop: Architect and implement robust, scalable features across our entire stack (frontend, backend, database, infrastructure).

• Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with product, design, Family Trust & Safety, and other teams to create solutions that address real-world safety challenges.

• Optimize & Scale: Enhance performance, reliability, and security of our platform as we grow our user base. Ensure that backend and frontend systems operate smoothly in production by triaging and resolving operational issues.

• Build with Privacy by Design: Implement systems that respect user privacy and data protection, especially for children.

• Evolve Our Tech: Evaluate and introduce new technologies that can help us better serve our mission. Be a champion for security best practices in the frontend and backend, to protect sensitive user data against emerging threats.

• Mentorship: Promote best practices, conduct code reviews and mentorship to elevate team capabilities and product quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent

• 7 years of engineering experience

• Experience with Typescript, React and Next.js

• Experience shipping mature backend systems at high scale

• Excited to primarily be an individual contributor with a ton of ownership

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with UX designers to build delightful frontend user interfaces

• Experience with Golang, Redis, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, S3, and Kubernetes

• Desire to work in an early-stage, fast-paced environment with a degree of ambiguity

• Excited to primarily be an individual contributor with a ton of ownership

• Experience working with development teams across the world

• Excellent communication skills in English
