About The Role:
As a Solutions Engineer at k-ID, you will be the technical bridge between our sales team and client developers, helping game studios and Tech companies integrate our Global Compliance Engine to achieve worldwide regulatory compliance for players of all ages. You'll leverage your deep technical expertise to demonstrate how k-ID's solutions can be effectively implemented into client gaming platforms, providing guidance throughout the integration process to ensure seamless adoption of our age verification, parental consent, and permission management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Go-To-Market team to provide technical pre-sales support for game studios and publishers
Work directly with client developers to design and implement k-ID integration solutions across various gaming platforms and engines
Create and deliver compelling technical demonstrations and proof-of-concepts showcasing the value of k-ID's compliance solutions
Develop technical documentation, integration guides, and code samples to accelerate client implementation
Provide technical consultation throughout the sales cycle, addressing client questions about API integration, webhook configuration, and session management
Stay current on global gaming regulations, compliance requirements, and technical advancements relevant to age verification and parental consent
Partner with Implementation Specialists to ensure smooth handoffs and successful client onboarding
Contribute to product development by providing feedback based on client technical requirements
Support sales through technical discovery and needs assessment processes
Analyze client environments to recommend optimal integration approaches for the k-ID Global Compliance Engine
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
7 years of experience in software development, systems integration, or technical consulting within the gaming industry
Demonstrated proficiency in at least two programming languages (e.g., C++, C#, JavaScript, Python)
Experience implementing RESTful APIs and webhook integrations
Familiarity with game development platforms (Unity, Unreal, or similar)
Working knowledge of user authentication flows and session management
Experience with mobile and/or console game development environments
Strong problem-solving skills and consultative approach
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
10 years of relevant industry experience with at least 3 years in a solutions engineering role
Understanding of global privacy regulations related to children (COPPA, GDPR, etc.)
Direct experience with age verification systems, parental controls, or compliance solutions
Hands-on experience with multiple game engines (Unreal, Unity, custom engines)
Knowledge of WebView implementations and iframe integrations
Experience with facial recognition or age estimation technologies
Familiarity with secure credential handling and user verification workflows
Experience with global compliance requirements for games across multiple jurisdictions
Certification in relevant technical areas or methodologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
History of leading technical integration projects for major game studios or publishers
Experience creating and delivering technical training to client development teams
Background in developing SDKs or integration libraries for third-party developers
