What you'll be doing:

As a Senior Backend Engineer in Payments, you’ll have the opportunity to work across the entire technology stack. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring engineer to build something impactful from the ground up in the gaming and fintech space.

You’ll work closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to design and build multiple technologies, including:

• Owning and building scalable, reusable systems across Sanlo's technology architecture: infrastructure, backend, frontend.

• Writing technical designs based on product requirements.

• Providing high-quality code review feedback to other team members.

• Mentoring and providing guidance on engineering best practices to team members.

• Working closely with other engineers, designers, and product teams to design and maintain multiple technologies, including our API backend, infrastructure, Google Play, App Store, game analytics, marketing analytics, bookkeeping, payment integrations, and operations tools.

We're looking for someone with:

• Experience (5+ years) in building backend services.

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, GCP.

• Experience on a payments team and seen the full payments lifecycle: processing payments including authorization, capture, chargebacks, refunds, settlements, payments reconciliation.

• Experience as a technical lead or senior team member to other engineers.

• Strong knowledge of software development fundamentals, distributed systems, data storage, and agile development methodologies.

• Entrepreneurial spirit. You think about the user with every line of code you write.

• First principles thinking.
