THE ROLE

Our engineering team is responsible for creating the platform that empowers this next generation of digital resonance. As a part of this team, you will work within a world-class team of engineers as well as with data scientists and UX designers to build the Solsten platform and products. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will bring your own technical expertise, help design new features as well as improve current ones, and carry projects from initial requirements, implementation, up to production.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Drive the visual culture in the company. Contribute to our Frontend practices.
• Craft unique and custom experiences and build out company UI assets (e.g. component library)
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Communicate clearly and proactively with UX designers, product managers, backend engineers, and data scientists to support the day-to-day development
• Deliver high-quality code for features from concept until production

YOUR BACKGROUND

• 7+ years of practical frontend development
• Proficiency in CSS and animation
• Strong command of JavaScript (React preferable)
• Experience working with TypeScript
• Experience of working in a design-driven environment and demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
• Strong attention to detail
• Affinity and ability to structure complex problems into easy to use applications
• A portfolio of activities / a side project that showcases your intellectual curiosity

HOW YOU STAND OUT

• Experience in writing custom UI libraries with high-quality animation
• Experience building custom charts
• Experience with any CSS preprocessor and/or CSS modules
• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tools, including test libraries (e.g. Jest, Mocha, Jasmine)

WHERE YOU WILL WORK

Our team is spread out across the world, with hubs in Berlin, and Minneapolis. We believe that having our team close to one another fosters better communication and productivity. This role requires you to be based in Minneapolis, US where you will have an exciting and flexible hybrid working environment. This means that you will have the opportunity to work both remotely and with colleagues in the office, allowing you to create an ideal working schedule and balance.
